Terms of Service

Last updated: April 18, 2026  ·  Effective: April 18, 2026

Please read these Terms carefully. By creating an account or using Admit, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Agreement to Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") form a binding legal agreement between you and Admit ("we", "us", or "our"), governing your access to and use of admit.college and all related services. By registering for an account, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use Admit. If you are under 18, you represent that a parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agreed to these Terms on your behalf. By using Admit, you confirm you meet these requirements.

3. Description of Service

Admit is a web-based college application planning platform that provides:

Important: Admit is an informational tool, not a licensed college counseling service. AI-generated advice reflects general admissions knowledge and your profile data — it does not constitute professional educational or admissions counseling. Admit makes no guarantees about admissions outcomes.

4. Account Registration

You must provide accurate, complete information when creating your account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@admit.college if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.

You may not create accounts using automated means, register on behalf of another person without their consent, or create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits.

5. Free and Paid Plans

Admit offers a free plan with limited daily AI messages and a paid subscription plan with expanded features. Plan details and pricing are listed on the pricing page.

We reserve the right to adjust plan features and pricing with reasonable notice to users.

6. Payments and Subscriptions

Paid subscriptions are billed monthly and processed by Stripe. By subscribing, you authorize us to charge your payment method on a recurring basis. You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in Settings — cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.

We do not offer refunds for partial billing periods, except where required by applicable law. If you believe you were charged in error, contact us within 30 days at support@admit.college.

7. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

8. Your Content

You retain ownership of all content you submit to Admit, including essay drafts, profile information, and notes. By using the service, you grant us a limited license to store and process your content solely to provide the service to you.

You are solely responsible for your content. Do not submit information that is false, that violates others' privacy, or that you do not have the right to share.

9. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer

AI-generated advice and suggestions from Admit are for planning and informational purposes only. Admissions decisions are made by colleges — Admit cannot guarantee any specific outcome. Always verify important information (deadlines, requirements, statistics) with official college websites and your school counselor.

10. Intellectual Property

The Admit platform, including its software, design, college database, and features, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of the platform without our written permission.

11. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that college data (acceptance rates, deadlines) will be perfectly accurate or current.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of Admit, including but not limited to reliance on AI-generated advice or college data.

12. Termination

You may delete your account at any time from Settings. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination, your right to use the service ceases immediately and your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or dashboard notice at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use of Admit after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the American Arbitration Association's rules, except that you may bring claims in small claims court if they qualify.
